Greenwich Preservation Group, LLC. renovated Wallie’s of Greenwich at 54 Main Street and a historic 1811 brick house at 73 Main Street in Greenwich. Wallie’s of Greenwich reopened as a multi-use property with a year-round indoor/outdoor farmers market, a 120-seat restaurant with a micro pub and brewery, as well as office space available for rent. The restoration of 73 Main Street includes the creation of office space for Sterling Capital Group Partners on the second floor and an art gallery on the ground floor.
The total project cost was estimated at $1,490,000, and the WWIDA provided sales tax exemption of up to $51,408, mortgage tax exemption of $7,435, and a partial real property tax abatement through a PILOT Agreement at an estimated value of $145,470 during the 10-year term to help facilitate this project.
These buildings were vacant prior to this project. In 2022, seven full-time employees and 22 part-time employees were reported when renovations were completed.
