407 Big Bay Rd, LLC (Brookfield Power US Holding America Co.) relocated their national systems control center from Massachusetts to a new Queensbury construction of a 16,000 square foot office building for management, operations, and information technology staff as well as a 24/7 control center.
The total project cost was estimated at $4,500,000, and the WWIDA is providing sales tax exemption of up to $210,000 and a partial real property tax abatement through a PILOT Agreement at an estimated value of $303,045 during the 10-year term to help facilitate this project. As this was new construction to the area, employee count started at zero and reported 46 full-time jobs in 2022.
